Ellen Margaret Diehl of Oneida Married to Henry Thompson

MISS ELLEN MARGARET DIEHL, of Oneida, became the bride of Henry Goodrich Thompson of Binghamton in a candlelight ceremony performed at 4:30 p. m. Wedneday at the Chittenango Methodist Church, Chittenango.

   The Rev. Carl Swift officiated. A recital of organ music was played by Mrs. Laura Hodge.

   The former Miss Diehl is the daughter of Mrs. Margaret Flaherty Diehl of Oneida. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter F. Thompson, Sr. of "Knoll Acres", 208 Park Avenue.

  Robin Flaherty Diehl, eldest brother of the bride, escorted the former Miss Diehl in marriage.

  The bride wore a white satin gown and a fingertip veil of French illusion. She carried an heirloom lace handkerchief which had belonged to her late great-grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Hoover. Her bouquet was a shower of white carnations centered with an orchid corsage.

  Miss Nancy Brock of Boston was maid of honor in a gown of dusty pink crepe with overskirt of net trimmed with appliqued flowers. She held a colonial bouquet of pink roses.

  Walter Frederick Thompson, Jr. a graduate student at the N. Y. State Teachers College at Albany, was the best man for his brother. The ushers were Hugh G. Tubbs of Osceola, Pa., and Joseph H. Walker of Norwich.

   After a reception in the church parlors, the bridal couple left on a motor trip to Niagara Falls.

  The former Miss Diehl is a graduate of Indiana State Teachers College. Mr. Thompson is a graduate of [Binghamton] Central High School and attended Syracuse University for three years.

  The newlyweds will live in Tacoma, Wash. The bridegroom is stationed with the Army at Fort Lewis, Wash.
