The 36th annual reunion of the Beecher Island Campbell Clan was held nn the school grounds at Nelson, Pa. on the above date.
After a bountiful dinner served under the fine maple trees the meeting was called to order by the President Harry C. Kemp -- the day being fine for being out of doors the meeting was held also on the school grounds instead of in the hall.1
The program was under the direction of Mrs. Mabel Shaw. Edward Monroe led the singing which was from some books sent by Wm. E. Selph. - Prayer by Rev. Coral Butler; followed by the report of the Secretary. After more singing, talks were given by J. E. Hazlett and Mrs. Fannie Monroe. Tribute to those who have passed on during the year since the last reunion was given by Miss Myra Campbell - It was reported that nine deaths had occurred during the year.
David C. Kemp was present and who would soon be ninety-seven years of age was given a salute as was also E. S. Horton who is eighty-seven.1
Other talks were given by Mrs. J. N. Hotchkiss, Lyman Pray, J. M. Parks, L. B. Shaw, Clyde Campbell, and Mrs. E. S. Horton. - Letters of greeting from members who could not be present were read by the secretary.-
After a talk by the President the following officers for the coming
year were chosen.-
President - Harry C. Kemp
Vice Pres. - Edward Monroe
Secy and Treas. - Mrs. Harry C. Kemp
After the singing of several more songs the reunion was dismissed by the benediction by Rev. Mabel Baker.
