The forty-eighth annual Campbell reunion was held on the beautiful lawn of Mr. & Mrs. Robert Lugg at Nelson, Pa. August 22d 1940 with thirty-five being present.
A delicious and abundant picnic dinner was served, after which the meeting the President Clyde Campbell called to order.
The minutes of the 1939 meeting were read and approved.
The following officers were re-elected for the coming year -
President. Clyde Campbell- Elkland.
Secretary &: Treas. Mrs. Mabel
S. Shaw- Mansfield.
Greetings were received and read from Cousin Mrs. Kate C. Horton &: famly of Portland, Oregon and Cousin Will Campbell of Marinette, Wisconsin.
Mrs. Fannie Monroe Chairman of the program committee spoke of absent members, and read extracts from letters, poems,etc. which were of interest to all.
Impromptu talks were given by Mr. Chas. Lugg - Llewellyn Shaw - Mary Shewman - Waldo Lugg - Rose Campbell - Mabel Shaw - Curtis Shewman - Leah McCandless - and Rena Campbell
Those who have died during the year are Rev. Coral Butler & Mr. John Graham.

A vote of thanks was given Cousins Robert Lugg & wife for the welcome given us and it was voted to accept their invitation to meet with them in 1941.
