Nothing beats the camaraderie and fellowship participation in person. But if your time schedule or health status don't permit that, or if gas prices or the cost of airfare, motels and meals, having to use up vacation days and spend days in the car or fighting the hassles of air travel are a problem, join us via Zoom.
Either way, reunite with dear acquaintances and greet cousins you've never met before (as the song says, "one is silver and the other gold)." Mark the day on your calendars now, so you don't forget.
Since 2014, our reunions have been held every other year, on the first Saturday of August, in even numbered years. Our last reunion was held Sat., Aug 6, 2022. But because of the COVID-19 pandemic continuing, for the second time, instead of being held in person, we did it by televideo -- via ZOOM.
We missed the camaraderie of meeting in person, and the pleasure of sharing a pot luck meal. BUT, it provided an opportunity for some to join us for the first time. Cost, travel time, being a caregiver to others, infirmities of age, etc. instantly faded. For instance, a cousin joined us from a remote part of British Columbia who would not have come to Nelson. Perhaps cousins from other countries may decide to participate this year. We plan to invite some of out English BLACKWELLs and Clinch cousins.
