Mary BLACKWELL Campbell (1806 - 1863)

Mary Blackwell was born Jun. 8, 1806 in Pine Twp., Lycoming Co., PA; died Aug. 15, 1863 in Tioga Co., PA. Married Feb. 28, 1822 in Nelson, Tioga Co., PA to James Campbell, born 1798 in N. Ireland; died Feb. 14, 1865 in Tioga Co.

Mary was the elder of two children of Sarah Lugg and 2nd husband, Enoch Blackwell's two children. After Enoch's death in 1816, Sarah Lugg married her 3rd husband, John Campbell, James' uncle.

James' brother Joseph married Mary's half-sister, Ann Clinch.

James and Mary Blackwell Campbell had thirteen children, all born in Nelson:

  2. Ann, b. Sept. 20, 1827, d. 1829;
  3. Robert, b. Sept. 30, 1827, m. Emily Sellen/Selling & her sister, Elizabeth Sellen/Selling;

  5. Harriet, b. Nov. 19, 1832, m. Robert Parks (Benjamin's brother) & David Cook Kemp;
  6. Joseph, b. Apr. 10, 1836, d. 1842;
  7. Emily,4 b. Mar. 13, 1837, m. Vernon Green(e);
  8. Enoch Blackwell, b. Dec. 18, 1839, m. Martha M. Hughey;
  9. Joseph G., b. Jun. 16, 1841, m. Jane Burt;

  11. Ann, b. Nov. 14, 1847, d. 1848;
