Resolutions2

Whereas: Death has entered our circle of cousins, and taken from us our beloved cousin Lou Campbell Young, and -- whereas -- we realize that her cheery voice and hearty laugh will never more be heard at our family gatherings -- and whereas', She has joined the trail to the great beyond, already trod by Joseph and Ann Campbell and all of their children -- Be it resolved" -
that we record with sorrow the passing of our dear Cousin, and as our faces turn in the direction of her long journey, may we be comforted with the thought that it was all planned by the same over ruling Providence that brought us into this beautiful world, and gave us the marvelous experience of life and the hope of immortality.

Committee: C. H. Congdon

Mrs. E. S. Horton

J. L. Buck

Mrs. M. B. Seely

1. Which date is correct -- Aug. 16 or Oct. 10? Take your pick.

2. Passing resolutions about someone's death may seem strange now, but at that time it was routine for fraternal organizations, Grange chapters, etc. to do that.
