Lyrics by Mabel Shipman Shaw/ Marylyn Dewey Adams -2014 edit)
(Tune - Marching Through Georgia)
CHORUS: Hurrah! Hurrah! We sing in
praise of thee,
Our kindred brave, and land of liberty.
We shout the chorus far and wide, it rings from
sea to sea,…………For our Campbell reunion..
From Scotland's bonnie banks they came, our fathers good and true,
And settled Beecher’s Island when the land was strange and new;
Keep honoring those settlers, and the red, the white and blue,
At our Campbell reunion.
Our county is Tioga in the glorious land of Penn,
And ours a noble ancestry of brave, free-hearted men,
We pledge ourselves in friendship's bond and hope to meet again,
At our Campbell reunion.
Our circle can’t be broken, tho some have left too soon
Let’s keep our new technologies united and in tune
And stay in touch with Campbell kin long after our afternoon
In a Campbell reunion.

The first Reunion was held in Nelson at the "instigation" of Phebe
Campbell Hoyt in
1893 in Nelson. The reunions continued annually until the 50th in 1942,
when the
combination of deaths & geographic scattering brought them to an
end.
In 2000, fifty cousins held a planning meeting at Tioga Lake Park, reinstituted the Reunion Association, and made plans for the 51st reunion. It was held in Nelson the following year. We now hold them in even numbered years and hope that the reunions will continue on a regular basis, well into the future.
We are fortunate to have many new ways to keep in contact with our Campbell Cousins and learn more about our Campbell family history:
Bill Thompson maintains a wonderful website, packed with information, photos, letters, etc. named Campbells, Hazletts, Luggs, Blackwells, and Associated Families of Nelson, Tioga Co., PA. If you haven't already checked it out at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~capane/index.html
Bill also maintains an online family tree at
