Hannah Jennie Bixby was born Sep. 37, 1863, in NY; d. Oct. 28, 1956. She married Aug. 17, 1882 to Herbert Clinch Hughey, b. Oct. 21, 1857 in Sugar Hill, Schuyler Co., NY; d. Mar. 29, 1923 in Brainerd, MN. Herb's parents were Daniel Hughey, b. 1826 in Schuyler Co., and Elizabeth Campbell, born in 1830 in Nelson, Tioga Co., PA.

Hannah's parents were Judson Amasa Bixby, b. 1826 in NY and Emner Miller, b. 1832 in NY.

Herb and Hannah Bixby Hughey had four children:


  2. Carrie May Hughey, b. Sep. 8, 1883 in Brainerd, Crow Wing Co., MN, m. John Peterson, William L. Taylor and Leslie John St. Claire;
  3. Judson Edgar Hughey, b. Apr. 2, 1886 in Brainerd, m. Anna M. Spencer;
  4. Harry Milton Hughey, b. Aug. 17, 1893 in Brainerd, m. Minnesota Mae Rhodes; and
  5. Mary Estella Hughey, b. Sep. 20, 1899, m. Henry George Prescott, Jr.
