Ada Campbell Seely was born Nov. 12, 1858, in Osceola., Tioga Co., PA; d. Oct. 16, 1944 in Wellsboro, Tioga Co., PA. Married Dec. 1, 1875 to Campbell Cousin Truman M. Crandall, b. Dec. 18, 1853, in Osceola; d. there Jun. 20, 1895. Truman's parents were Philetus Crandall, b. 1819 in NY, and Campbell Cousin Sally Ellison, born 1831 in PA. (Philetus 2nd wife, Elizabeth Sellen, later became the 2nd wife of Robert Campbell, son of Mary Blackwell & James Campbell).
Ada was the youngest of 3 children of Mary Ann Campbell, b. 1826 in Nelson,
Tioga Co., PA, d. there 1875; and
Allen Seely, born 1826 in Osceola, died there in 1909.
In 1923, 24 & 25 Ada lived in Osceola. Her home burned Mar 2, 1925.
She then moved into the vacant home of the late
Grant Seeley and
Della Carpenter Seeley, the later having just died. They were the
parents of Ada's daughter-in-law,
Heloise Seely. That house was next door to that of Minnie TUBBS Clark.
Truman was a merchant in Osceola.
Truman and Ada Seely Crandall had two children:
