Emma W. Vaughan was born Feb. 16, 1854, in Bradford Co., PA; d. Oct. 11, 1937, in Seattle, Pierce Co., WA was a daughter of Edward Vaughan, b. 1819, in Wyalusing Twp., Bradford Co., PA, d. 1896 in Wyalusing; and Almira Cox, b. abt. 1824 in PA, d. 1911 in Wyalusing Twp. Emma married Dec. 25, 1872, to Edgar Thomas Congdon, b. 1850 in Nelson, Tioga Co., PA.

Ed and Emma Vaughan Congdon had 2 children:

  1. Georgiana "Georgia" Congdon, b. 1873 in Nelson, m. Oscar M. Parks, a Mr. Merritt, and Harry M. Weir; &
  2. Leroy "Edd" Vaughan Congdon, b. 1881 in Brainerd, Crow Wing Co., MN, m. Helen Nancy Cooper.
